A major part of education is creating conversations about prostate cancer, and in particular spaces in which men with prostate cancer can share their experiences with one another. At St Vincent’s we established Australia’s first prostate cancer support group, a group that has been replicated throughout the country since its inception.
Open to all men with prostate cancer, the St Vincent’s Hospital Prostate Cancer Support Group meets fur time a year at St Vincent’s Clinic.
Every quarter the St Vincent’s Hospital Prostate Cancer Support Group publishes a newsletter, Lifebuoy, with the latest information on prostate cancer, its treatments and upcoming events.
