When asked about being made an Officer of the Order of Australia, Stricker responded, “This is a really nice endorsement of our work but we have a long way to go. It has been a privilege to have been part of the success in fighting the battle to get the prostate cancer death rate down. We are doing better than we we were 25 years ago so it’s nice to get a pat on the back.”
